hey! hmm..i dont think it's good to live without expectations. i mean it's natural to have expectations, but perhaps dont place it too high? coz in certain cases it's really 希望越高，失望越大。 but definitely, must have hope in your heart! life would be quite meaningless if we live without hope. hope is something that pushes us on in life, it motivates you coz there would be something to look forward to! of course, things dont always go well, so dont be too upset over things that we cant control. :) i believe there'll always be someone rooting for you! continue to live well because there's someone who believes in you. Jiayou jiahui! :))
watever it is in life, it's always impt to strike a balance. however, wat is e ideal balance? we'll nv noe cos all of us learn along e way...we have diff stds in diff phases of life. doesn't it make u think sometimes, how interesting life is? ups and downs...diff emotions..e presence and absence of love...well, wat's most impt, is to live life happily regardless of wat phase u r in. i'll have to learn tat along e way too. =)

not too sure what is the ideal balance that u're refering to. but what i can think of is that u should not allow ur life to revolve around only a few aspects. like if u only live your life around work and love, then if for some reasons u fall out of love, then it seems as though half your world has collapsed. yupp..if u get what i mean. so shouldnt be too reliant on one aspect of ur life..friends are important too!
btw..what u said ytd night kind of surprised me. the fact that u feel sad coz u dun hav a bf to pei u on ur bday. but there's always ur girl friends right? and the DJs at 933.. also not bad what. hee..
